Course Description:
This course is designed to help health and social care professionals develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary to support individuals living with multiple disorders, also known as comorbid or co-occurring conditions. These may include a combination of physical disabilities, mental health challenges, learning disabilities, substance misuse issues, and chronic illnesses.
The course takes a holistic, person-centred approach to understanding how these complex needs interact and affect the individual’s daily life, well-being, and care requirements. It focuses on effective communication, care coordination, risk management, and strategies for delivering compassionate, tailored support that promotes independence and dignity.
